James, a new subscriber to Diamond-Cut Life, has won a 541 Threads t-shirt, made in the U.S.
James found my blog by listening to me being interviewed on Sprocket Podcast. It’s great fun for me to talk with co-hosts Brock Dittus and Aaron Flores about active transportation and other ways of being rich in what matters. This was my second podcast with Sprocket (the first was in 2013).
Brock and Aaron, two of the nicest guys I know, say that they swear less when I’m around. For my part, I loved that they both came to my annual Christmas party the Sunday after we recorded together. They arrived via bicycle, Brock on a vintage tandem with his wife Adelle. These guys totally rock.
But I digress.
After James chooses his t-shirt and DCL pays for it, 541 Threads will donate five meals to food banks that feed hungry people. They’ve fed more than 36,000 folks to date.
I really love that about 541 Threads. Giving makes us rich in what matters. So does nature, the arts, community, and work we believe in.
Coming up on Thursday: The Essence Of Good Gift-Giving. Hint: it doesn’t involve going further into debt.
